The GMAT (The Graduate Management Admission Test) is a test designed to assess skills relevant to graduate studies in business and management.

The GMAT test is computer adaptive.

The GMAT takes about 3 ½ hours of testing.

GMAT Sections:

Analytical Writing

Analysis of an Issue essay and Analysis of an Argument essay (2 essays,30 minutes each).

Verbal Section

Quantitative Section.

Data sufficiency and Problem solving questions (37 questions in 75 minutes)

About the actual test:

Test takers have to type their essays.

The GMAT score report will include four scores – three determined by your performance on the multiple choice Quantitative and Verbal Sections and a separate score for Analytical writing.

Overall score between 200-800 is calculated from your performance on the Quantitative and Verbal sections.

There will be Quantitative and Verbal sub-scores ranging from 0-60.

All scores will be translated into percentile ranking which will allow business schools to quickly see where you fall.
