IELTS

IELTS measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication. All the four skills will be tested and marked separately. You will receive a final score in the bandwidth ranging from 1-9. Most Universities require a bandwidth above 6.5.

The test duration is approximately 4 hours : Listening–30 mins.; Reading-60 mins.; Writing-60 mins; Speaking-10-15 mins.

Always check the website of the University you wish to join to know if they accept IELTS scores and what scores are acceptable. The countries accepting IELTS scores are UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and now, USA.

The Academic Test is for students who seek admission to Universities for Higher and Further education. The General Training Test is usually for people who are going to English speaking countries to do secondary education, work or join training programs. Take a 1 hour Online Practice Test, to familiarize yourself with the test (Reading, Listening and Writing) and get yourself evaluated. Take a full length Practice Speaking Test only for 10-15 minutes. For online candidates our counselor will guide you on how to take the speaking test.
