GRE® Revised General Test from August 2011

Starting August 1, 2011, the GRE® Revised General Test will replace the older GRE General Test, giving you the advantage of a better test experience — and new types of questions that help show your readiness for graduate-level work.

The GRE is a 3 hr,40-minute exam:

  • One 30-minute Analysis of an Issue Essay
  • One 30-minute Analysis of an Argument Essay
  • Two 30-minute Verbal Reasoning sections(Text Completion,Sentence Equivalence and Reading Comprehension questions)
  • Two 35-minute Quantitative Reasoning sections (Basic math,Algebra,Geometry and Data Analysis Questions)
